Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Zestloft Ltd ("Zestloft", "we", "us") handles information in connection with this website and the mobile applications and games we publish (together, our "Services"). We keep it short and plain on purpose. If anything is unclear, email us at dev@zestloft.com.

Who we are

Zestloft Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales and is the data controller for the Services. We can be reached at dev@zestloft.com.

Information we collect

When you use this website, we may collect:

  • Basic technical information such as browser type, device type, approximate region, and pages visited, used to keep the site working and understand general traffic.
  • Anything you choose to send us, such as your email address and the content of a message when you contact us.

Our apps may collect, depending on the app and only where needed to make it work:

  • Device and usage information such as device model, operating system version, an advertising identifier, a non-permanent app instance identifier, approximate region derived from your IP address, which screens and features you use, and diagnostic data.
  • Purchase information, such as which product was bought and its price, where an app offers in-app purchases. Card details are handled entirely by Google Play or the App Store and never reach us.

Content you create inside an app stays on your device. In our party games this includes the names you type in, answers, written confessions, custom questions, who voted for whom, and any pairings the group sets up. That content is stored only on the phone, is never sent to us or to anyone else, and is gone when you clear the app's data or uninstall it.

We do not collect precise real-time location, and our apps do not ask for access to your camera, microphone, contacts, photos, or files. Each app lists what it collects on its App Store and Google Play page before you download it.

How we use information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Services.
  • To respond to your messages and provide support.
  • To diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and keep the Services secure.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

Advertising and analytics

Where an app shows advertising or measures how it is used, we rely on two Google services, and we name them here so you know exactly who is involved:

  • Google AdMob serves the ads. It may process your advertising identifier, approximate region derived from your IP address, device information, and how you interact with ads, in order to select, deliver, and measure them. AdMob may share this with its advertising partners. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
  • Google Analytics for Firebase tells us how the app is used in aggregate: which games are played, how long sessions run, and where people stop. It processes an app instance identifier, device information, approximate region, and the in-app events we send. Those events never carry anything you have typed.

In the UK and the EEA we ask for your consent before any personalised advertising, using Google's consent form, and you can change that choice at any time. On iOS we ask separately through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, and declining it does not stop the app working. Buying an ad-free upgrade removes advertising entirely.

This website does not run third-party advertising.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information only:

  • With trusted service providers who help us run the Services and are bound to protect it.
  • Where required by law, or to investigate fraud or protect our rights.
  • As part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will let users know.

Your choices

  • You can stop all collection by an app by uninstalling it.
  • You can reset or delete your advertising identifier, and turn off ad personalisation, in your device settings. On Android this is under Settings, Privacy, Ads; on iOS under Settings, Privacy and Security, Tracking.
  • You can withdraw advertising consent in the UK and EEA from the app's own settings, and buying an ad-free upgrade stops ads being served at all.
  • You can ask us to access or delete information you have sent us by emailing dev@zestloft.com.

Children's privacy

Our apps are not directed to children. Some, including our party games, contain adult themes and are rated for adults only, and should not be used by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we build with the U.S. FTC COPPA guidance in mind. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at dev@zestloft.com and we will delete it.

Data retention and security

We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, and we use reasonable measures to protect it. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our Services grow. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and significant changes will be made clear.
